DEGREE ZERO SURFACE
(Manifesto)
This is not about style.
This is not about expression.
This is not about clarity.
It begins after the image stops performing.
After emotion becomes repetition.
After language becomes residue.
What remains is surface.
What remains is structure.
A gesture without emphasis.
A sentence interrupted.
A mark without intention.
A presence that does not explain itself.
The canvas is no longer a scene.
It’s a collapsed system that still generates signs.
Not meaning — signs.
Not silence — failure reprinted.
The work does not seduce.
It doesn’t offer metaphors.
It doesn’t ask to be understood.
It continues — out of habit, tension, or exhaustion.
Nothing is composed.
Nothing is solved.
There is no style here.
Only remnants. Attempts. Neutral debris.
If there is text, it doesn’t speak.
If there is color, it doesn’t decorate.
If there is emotion, it has already passed.
This is not minimalism.
This is subtraction under pressure.
This is not neutrality.
This is signal after collapse.
The gesture remains.
The system fails.
The surface continues.
This is Degree Zero Surface.
